Nu Visions Photo Class Rocks (Orlando)

A photo class with Curt and Stephanie is a great way to gain a mother lode of hands-on photography experience and get up-close and personal with the downtown area (30 to 45 minutes from Kissimmee) at the same time. From the first moment you walk into the Nu Visions gallery (at CityArts Factory), these two go-getters are welcoming and gracious. No pretension here. And judging by the photos mounted on the walls, it’s easy to see you are studying under some of the best in the industry.

And within twenty minutes, the group (always less than 10 people) is out the door and shooting. You might participate in a high fashion photo shoot in an alley way or you could be arranging group shots underneath willow trees at Lake Eola. They offer something different every class. The best part is: You are shooting most of the time, not reading from a book or trapped in a classroom. Instead, you’ve got real models (from babies to families) to work with and real-life situations. That’s what I love about the class; it forces you to think on your feet. Even better, you get plenty of one-on-one time with some really accomplished photographers. (Curt was named as one of the top ten wedding photographers in the world. Not too shabby!)

It’s easy to see how passionate the two are about all things photo-related, and their enthusiasm is contagious. It’s definitely a worthwhile class, super educational and lots of fun, too. All you need to bring is your digital camera. For you out-of-towners, call and schedule a class with Curt and Stephanie several weeks ahead of time. They are busy people; so plan ahead.
